Criminal Record Checks

Upon application to HSCPOA, all PSWs must submit a valid criminal record check. Valid means the criminal record check was completed within 12 months from the date you submitted your application to HSCPOA.

HSCPOA accepts the following types of criminal record checks:

• Criminal Record and Judicial Matters (CRJM) check, sometimes called an Enhanced or Level 2 criminal record check, OR
• Vulnerable Sector (VS) check.

Need an updated criminal record check?

Follow the instructions below to complete a criminal record check with HSCPOA’s criminal record check partner. The criminal record check will cost $23.60:

1. On your HSCPOA application form, check the box “I consent to completing a criminal record check with HSCPOA’s vendor partner”
2. Within two hours after you submit your application to HSCPOA, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the online criminal record check.
3. In the email, click “Get Started”. This link is unique to you.
4. Once you click “Get Started” you will be guided through the criminal record check process.
5. Your completed criminal record check will be automatically uploaded to your HSCPOA application form. 

NOTE: PLEASE WAIT FOR THE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK EMAIL TO BE RECEIVED. IN THE EMAIL, CLICK THE ‘GET STARTED’ LINK SO YOU COMPLETE THE CORRECT TYPE OF CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK AND ARE ONLY CHARGED $23.60. BASIC CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
