Health and Supportive Care providers are vital members of Ontario's health care system.
The Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) evaluates the eligibility of individuals who are applying for registration as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Ontario.
Information in this section provides details on how to become registered, what education and/or work experience is required, along with any other requirements for registration.
There is currently no cost to apply and become registered as a PSW with HSCPOA.
There are 4 pathways to becoming a HSCPOA PSW registrant. HSCPOA also has a Recognition of Nurses and Midwives Policy. Refer to How to Become a Registrant for more details.
