Information Appearing on HSCPOA's Public Register of PSWs - Public Register Details
The HSCPOA Public Register of PSWs.
In keeping with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority Act, 2021, and regulations under this Act, HSCPOA’s online Public Register will contain detailed information about all registered PSWs practising in the province of Ontario. This information includes:
- Personal information (name, previous name, if applicable, and gender)
- Registration number
- Date of initial registration
- Registration class (e.g., PSW, other classes may be added in the future)
- Language(s) that the registrant provides health and supportive care services
- Whether the registrant completed a personal support worker program or became registered via work experience
- Business/employer information for every location in Ontario where registrant provides health services or supportive services to the public
- Registration status (e.g., active or inactive)
- Reason for inactive status, if applicable (e.g., cancellation, interim suspension, suspension, revocation, expiration)
- Conditions, if any imposed on a registrant’s registration including any interim orders, and any variances or removals
- A pending complaint or other type of investigation by HSCPOA where there is a compelling public interest to disclose this information
- A notation of every written warning issued to the registrant by HSCPOA
- A notation of any cautions and/or further educational courses or training that HSCPOA requires a registrant to complete following a complaint or investigation
- A summary and copies of the specified allegations and referrals to the Discipline Committee
- The result of a disciplinary proceeding concerning a registrant, including if under appeal, as well as any acknowledgements and undertakings the registrant has entered into with HSCPOA
- A notation and summary of every revocation, expiration, cancellation, or suspension of registration
- Voluntary resignation resulting from a disciplinary proceeding
- Summaries of any decisions from the Appeals Committee
- Current or previously held registration by the registrant with any regulatory body in any jurisdiction, and any complaints or discipline history
- Summaries of any current charges, findings of guilt, or existing conditions relevant to the registrant’s suitability to provide health or supportive services
- Reinstatement details, as applicable
