Board Elections
The Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) is governed by a Board of Directors. An Interim Board of Directors was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council in late 2022. The Interim Board was responsible for overseeing the governance and operational establishment of the HSCPOA until the full Board of Directors is was elected in October 2023.
HSCPOA is always seeking qualified individuals interested in joining the Board of Directors when positions become available. The composition and qualifications of the Board are set out in Article 5 of the HSCPOA By-law. The required competencies/skills for Board Directors are outlined in the Board Competencies/Skills Matrix. The terms of office vary from one (1) to three (3) years and will be determined by the Interim Board.
Individuals interested in being considered for a Board position are encouraged to review the Call for Expressions of Interest and complete an Expression of Interest Submission Form outlining their qualifications and reasons for applying.
Applicants to serve on the Board of Directors will be expected to adhere to the expectations set out in regulations, by-laws and Board Policies
