Board Policies
HSCPOA Board governance policies are for use by HSCPOA’s Board of Directors. The content in this section is made available for informational and transparency purposes only, as in HSCPOA Website Terms of Use policy.
The HSCPOA Board of Directors defines which human needs are to be met, for whom, and at what worth/priority. These “purpose related/mission-focused” policies are written with a long-term perspective and embody most of the Board’s long-range planning (strategic directions) and generative thought-leadership on the desired outcomes.
New Policies to Follow
Executive Boundaries Policies are established by the HSCPOA Board to govern values and risk by setting risk boundaries and tolerances. Executive Boundaries Policies establish the boundaries of acceptability within which methods and activities can be responsibly delegated to the CEO to operate; they apply to the “means” of achieving Critical Outcomes.

The Board-CEO Relationship Policies establish the way the HSCPOA Board delegates authority to its one employee, the CEO. They also establish how the Board evaluates CEO performance on achievement of Critical Outcomes, how the Board supports the CEO, and how it assesses CEO achievement with Executive Boundaries Policies. These policies are written by the Board to guide the collective Board’s approach.
New policies to follow.
The Governance Process Policies establish the HSCPOA Board’s philosophy and approach to governance, its accountability, and specifics of its own job.
