OPSWA Members – How to Apply for HSCPOA PSW Registration
Welcome to HSCPOA’s PSW Application process! PSWs are vital members of Ontario’s health care system.
The Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) holds registered Personal Support Workers (PSWs) accountable to HSCPOA’s Code of Ethics to deliver safe, quality, ethical care. HSCPOA evaluates the eligibility of individuals who are applying for registration as a PSW in Ontario, enhancing public trust in registered PSWs and respect for the work they do.
Most OPSWA members can apply for registration with HSCPOA through either Path 1 or Path 2. The documentation you submitted during your application to become an OPSWA member is similar and can be used during HSCPOA’s PSW registration process, with some exceptions.
Each OPSWA member must set up an account and apply directly to HSCPOA through the online application form.
OPSWA members who completed PSW education in Ontario on or after July 1, 2014, can apply for registration with HSCPOA through Path 1.
